Nominee: Captain of Eventide
The illustrious Captain of the good ship Eventide had the unmatched audacity to enter the western reach of Seal Bay while half the Fleet was still at sea and announce that the area had too many boats and others should anchor outside.
As a consequence, the prudent Skipper of Onward, sailing in the middle of the line of the Corinthians Fleet, heeded the broadcast advice, and anchored in the eastern reach of the harbor. (The nefarious and devious Captain of Eventide then apparently MUST have broadcast a secret message to the rest of the Fleet "come on down, plenty of room".
As a consequence the Captain of Eventide effectively ostracized the Onwards to the antipodes
Could this have been retribution for Onward's Skipper forgetting to call on Eventide in the morning role call of the Fleet?
